Well, it's been a long while, but friend of the blog Iván Mas wrote to me the other day with a pretty awesome picture of movieverse Shockwave! He's asked me if I can come up with a Mosaic featuring the character, and I just might. In the meanwhile, enjoy his take on the character.
Tests tests tests, are only that, evidence.

He is Blood, or Bomb-burst, as more you like. It is an idea I have long ne head, and now I'm a bit lively and I have some free time I'm trying to accomplish.
Sincerely ... I do not see too many possibilities to the project, however, is more of a diversion than something feasible. And not because I think it's good, but ....
In any case, it is just that, a lot of sketches that I do on one of the characters, that I did last night in 20 minutes, maybe try something else today .... the truth is that I have enough ideas ..... we'll see what comes out.

So I did this.
It was a panel from one page to a Masterforce comic, what I have in head for some time.
Not that you look like you, maybe too serious, is not what we are accustomed, except for Don who lately decided to draw more style "movie", though I do not completely to my taste, too far from G.1.
In any case, as can be seen, preserved the basic physical features of the series.
Also I work hard the line, details, and shadows, so I think it is a drawing color if given, can only win because he has a good base.
I think this type of style or design, when combined with a human style, in the artistic direction of the style of JG. Jones and Bryan Hitch, in addition, would make a Transformers comic was seen with ... "different eyes".
And not get me wrong, but the type of illustration with "line art" is not that I do not like simply prefer this other because it has other connotations and conveys a number of other things to the reader.

Hi again! I regret having been offline for so long .. but first the work and sometimes health ... prevented me from drawing for a while... apparently, I suffered a nerve problem that made me sleep are the two arms ... so .. I could not do anything, and had a terrible pulse. I'm still not quite right ... but at least I can draw a little.
but I think it s glad to see what Jim and I bring you today.
ZARAK
We could talk much about this character... Zarak, repaint of Scorpnok, in Japanese Masterforce Tv. But, yeah, Zarak is an important characters in the series, houses the spirit of Devil-Z, Decepticon evil entity, it is possible that even more than Megatron. I always looked at Devil-Z as an antithesis of the autobot matrix. Masterforce really believe that it could make a great series, probably the best on transformers, and certainly a great comic, in all senses.
But, let's focus on Zarak, the truth is that the colors I like but the men of Scorponok, but the head design that I think is best. Reminiscent of a samurai helmet, logical, if we came from. But it is a pity that this very expensive toy ... (About 600 to 1500 dollars) was only sold in Japan. Besides .. always annoyed me a lot to Fortress / Grand Maximus was much higher than when it is assumed that Scorponok / Zarak was his antithesis .... is at a distinct disadvantage, not fair.
As also it is a shame that people unaware of both the Japanese Transformers universe, so .. we encourage Jim and IDW to edit a MTMTE book about Japanese characters. We read, I hope soon.
After a few weeks off (and really, who isn't super-busy this time of year?), Iván returns with more of his exploration of the Green Lantern universe. This time, rather than the brutal baddies of Sinestro Corps, it's the stalwart heroes of the Green Lantern Corps. Without further ado, Salaak! Here's what the artist has to say about it:Not have much time lately, but the other day I could do this little drawing, not rust.
It Salaak, the green lantern emissary of Guardians.
It has a design that I like, because it lends itself to many interpretations, and I think that aspect of insect and arms offer many possibilities.
Later I added the logos and title to dress more drawing. Originally this all done by pencil, then just had to paint it with photshop level and with the correct order and the pen itself does color effect that interested me.
It is not difficult and is well.

Welcome back, faithful readers! (And to those of you who engage in infidelity ... kudos.) Iván's Gallery is back with a vengeance. This week he brings us The Sinestro Corps - Total Fear. Here's what he has to say about it:Sinestro corps war really was the first thing I read ... and I really liked the pace and level of action.
I think it's really hard to make a comic like this, with so many characters, many places, and a level of action and excellent design.
Here we see its greatest exponents, Sinestro of course, Superman Prime, Ranx or the Anti-Monitor.
I really enjoy this reading and I was hooked to the Green Lantern universe, highly recommended.
First off, apologies for being a bit out of touch this week. I'm working on a project that's taking up much of my attention. Add in a nasty virus (computer) and you'll understand why I took a week off of posting new models.
I think these races could have been exploited more ...
I liked a lot when I saw the movie ..
Although there are more than one who gives me the feeling that is a tribute to critauras that appear in the Return of the Jedi, in the Jabba´s palace. Nice.I think IDW hinted something about the Quintessons in the Wheelie Spotlight .. but apparently .. the thing is out there.In any case and as I always say .. in transformer there is a whole universe to explore outside Prime and Megatron, which, I must admit, now I begin to tire a bit.
It's time for more from Iván's Gallery. This week, Iván brings us a piece he calls 'Change.' I think it's pretty cool, a bit more serious than Cobra Commander usually manages to be. I think the military-style hat helps. Here's what Iván has to say about it:Well, needless to say that I am inspired to do this ... While the lineup recently Obama, and I noticed the word "CHANGE", not very cool because I remembered that would be what would cobra commander, a change ... but he does not have the option of voting.Looking at it almost seems to me something more comical than serious, a joke... -CHANGE ... please .... I'm tired of Joes .. I want to rule - heheheWill see that I have not drawn in the classic helmet or with the rag on his head ...I always liked small mystery that generated the metal face .. so I am not fond of cloth on his head, but, the helmet I think it's only for the army , so I always put the hat on general or typical high command .. I think much more serious, realistic and better....... I think.
Wow, almost a week with no posts. I'm slipping. The truth is, I've had a super-busy week, with a board meeting for the dot com where I work, some Transformers stuff, and some personal stuff. Rare,for this era there was exists the Headmasters, but the Japanese have rejected the initial idea.These characters were renamed Transtectors, so the robots functioned as armor for the human who happened to be the pilot,transformers while dormant.Here they are: Cancer (Squezeeplay in North American version) Wilder (Fangry) and Bullhorn (Horrie - bull).But unlike Siren - Nightbeat and company, these are not repainted.In any case I personally prefer the Japanese version, the characters have more character, are better defined and differ more between them, apart from having its own history.On the figures ..... if I can, also try to always buy the Japanese version, the human component has a picture, and are the originals ... second, those letters have niponas ... magic.
This week, Iván continues his exploration of the Sinestro Corps. This cover features one of the most unique villains in Green Lantern's rogues gallery: the sentient pathogen Despotellis! Here's what the artist has to say about it:Well.... quick drawing I did in a couple of hours about a microscopic sentient bio-virus, Despotellis is likely the smallest as well as one of the deadliest members of the Sinestro corps.Who is not afraid of a virus? who is free from the threat of a virus? anyone.The earliest activities of Despotellis as a member of the Sinestro Corps were chronicled in the Book of Parallax. As read by Lyssa Drak of Talok IV, Despotellis first infected the homeworld of Green Lantern Reemuz. When the Green Lantern returned to his homeworld, he found thousands dead in the streets. The Green Lantern quickly surmised the cause of their deaths was related the yellow power battery he found. Reemuz took the power battery across the continents of his homeworld. He was searching for survivors as well as their attacker, but finding neither. He grew tired and ill, and just moments before his death realized his attacker had infected him. Despotellis revealed his presence as he took the power battery and headed out amongst the stars. Before returning to Qward, Despotellis infected 85% of the 714 inhabited worlds in space sector 119.Despotellis next appeared on and in orbit of the planetform Green Lantern Mogo in Green Lantern Corps....
Continuing his exploration of Blackest Night, this week Iván's Gallery features the Black Hand. Here is what the artist has to say about the piece:One of the principals players in the Blackest night ....It is a very serious, probably never will smile as in this illustration, but enjoy doing it.
In the series of Green Lantern, and from the Secret Origin series can see William Hand, still innocent, is worn into this ... at number 39 - 40 of the regular season.

Good morrow, good readers! Another week, another edition of Iván's Gallery. This week, Iván brings us Karu-Sil, a member of the Sinestro Corps. I've been on a bit of a Green Lantern kick ever since watching First Flight a few weeks back, so when Iván asked me if I minded him branching out from Transformers I said not at all. I think he captures her feral nature quite nicely.Long been a friend recommended reading Green Lantern.. I can say?! Excellent comic...... one of the best that are edited together now to Brubacker Captain America.Geoff Johns really knows what he does to himself. He rescued the series until it became what is now ..... the first major series was the War of the Sinestro corps.This series is a character I drew special attention to me. She is Karu- sil.Under a weak and innocent appearance hides a monster.Pinup wanted to show this in a different way the characteristics of this character.... I was inspired by an old movie, "Det sjunde inseglet" ( 1957 ) performed by Von Shidow... with director Ingmar Bergman,I was inspired by the final scene, where we see the Death dancing with the characters, in a mythical plane.It also reminded me Karu-sil in spirit to the famous story of the Crepshow or Creppy comic, Jennifer... terrifying story.The result is this .. we see the innocent Karu - sil dancing, celebrating the death and the terror who inspires in others.
(order it today!). (Rubbish is a big fan of the Britcom, for instance, while Re-Cycle likes documentaries and Ashtray can't get enough of reality television.) I included some of this in a spec script I wrote for a Spotlight: Wreck-Gar, but alas it hasn't been something that fit into IDW's editorial vision/schedule. Nancy is a character which has not been discussed too much and the fans do not know much. She appeared in the marvel comics as the wife of Wreck-gar, It would have been a good idea in any Spotlight show with him.
It would be another way to expand the universe transformer, clearly the design of this character is inspired by the race of Lithones.
This will be one of the pannels from one of the Mosaics I've done and will serve as a presentation, about how this character would have gone along with Wreck-gar.
Well, it's certainly been an exciting week for us Disciples, but despite being on holiday on the island paradise that is Menorca Iván nevertheless found the time to update his gallery with a Masterforce standby - Lady Mega. Here's what the artist has to say about the piece:My favourite female masterforce character , or human charcter.... oks, this picture is for a proyect, but i think that´s rejected , finally.
The idea is show to the people the world of this Queen... in the pin up, appears : Mega ( principal draw ) and the armor , Devil-Z and the jet ( Overlord´s Mega part )Yeah, it´s funny but i think that´s loocks better in colour, perhaps in the future.
After a week off due to computer problems, Iván is back with a new gallery entry. This one is actually fairly near to my heart - it was part of a proposal for a cover to The Complete Ark. The illustration was divided into four squares, this was the first of four, but is incomplete.Lack all the background and the picture I thought painting with oils, such as illustrations of the eighties, also had effects of explosions, lightning, fire, all very realistic.So this drawing in ink does not have much to do with what would be the end result.
In it we can see Super megatron, the Japanese character which is not much used...
Iván's Gallery comes again on a Wednesday this week. He brings us an experimental piece this week, The Oregonian. It was something he did up for the mosaic project but didn't quite fit their needs. Still, I think it's quite interesting. Judge for yourself.

When I saw these guys first time thought. - hey ! wait a moment, this is not transformers.
They appeared in a marvel comics number that we had the Pretenders.
Later in the Masterforce series would have more importance, act as leaders of a small vanguard force decepticons on earth. And the supreme commander is Blood, Bomb-burst in the U.S.A version.
This was an unexpected twist to the traditional concept of transformersAnd the truth is that I love this new trend.

This week, Iván brings us the Darkwing brothers. Here's what the artist has to say about them:Great characters, the intention of this Pin-up is clear... play with the duality of this brothers. Interestingly these characters appears in Marvel series... but a very uninteresting.
Buster (left) and Hydra (right) are repainted and darkwing of Dreadwing in Masterforce version, and like all human components has its power bracelets. Buster is a DJ, has a certain effeminate appearance, the very era of the eighties, reminds me a little of David Bowie in Labyrinth movie, I think it is the younger brother.Both are German, Hydra, for his part is an actor, and uses this chip in occasions in the series to lay a trap to Autobots. Is the boss in the group.They are Transtectors, are different to the rest, are not Headmasters, they are transformed into engines, so it is assumed that are more fearsome. And also could be combined in airplane mode and form a rare aircraft... very funny... It is not very clear, but it seems to have been adopted by Giga and Mega and have special training.The figures, the prices are very high, and more at the Japanese version, and even more if we look for a pack showing both. I think around 500 dollars.Why, despite that I like a lot, are two of the figures that I have not yet, and certainly make me more enthusiasm in its Japanese version, although I think the American version in its colors are better.In any case, the picture we see the characters, the human form with armor, and some of his robot form. Then I played a little with the composition, to make the arms of both species together in a single body to display his mechanical gadgets as they do in the series.Then got to finish the composition Decepticon logo. I enjoy with this picture that even I did a quick version to color, play with the color range of each.Then I have done a better version of the brothers .. giving a more serious and realistic, which I hope soon you will see in a mosaic.
Here a panel reused as a poster.I did it in an hour, I think ... I did everything in Photoshop and then blurring the image to conceal the defects and give an effect of mystery.The man kneeling is Dante, the character created by Furman and Scorponok can see exactly how it appears in Devastation. Somehow I wanted to do a sort of game between the humans sumisions to the decepticons and what that entails.By the way .. this IDW stage .. I think the most interesting and cool that has been done in the transformers theme in recent years.
