Ark Addendum - MegaZarak Transforms (redux)

Well, after the whirlwind that was my life for the past few weeks, things are settling down to normal. To celebrate normalcy, as well as Iván's take on Scorponok / Dante, I went looking for an Ark Addendum that fit. This week I bring you MegaZarak's tranformation from Scorpion to City!

One thing that's interesting is how certain models get lost over the years. For instance, Marvel didn't have the front of Optimus Prime's truck mode, which caused the back to be used in his Transformers Universe profile. I think MegaZarak was a lesser case of that. Most of the collections of models for him over the years, including the contemporaneously published Headmasters Encyclopedia, the Headmasters Laserdisk, and the fairly thorough Transformers: Generations, were only able to find his back. This transformation sequence may be in that tradition, or it may be that they felt the back was a more logical starting point. It's even remotely possible that the beast model back was pulled directly from this sheet, swapping cause and effect. I don't remember where I managed to get his front, but I'm glad I did.

I took a few weeks off, but I'm back in force D.M. After Almanac comes out, I'll probably have a few more from that era from time to time too.

After the ARK omnibus is out, you should release a compilation of all the deleted pages. An online release I mean, a CBR file with all the JPGs inside ;)

Maybe. I suppose that it's easy enough for anyone following my blog to go and grab them all though. I kind of like encouraging people to get the material from here, since I put a lot of work into contextualizing everything. Of course, there are also all the reviews and various musings that I do too.
